Experience

I tutored international students with english as a second language and I also tutored my fellow peers in the following college-level courses: Economics, Statistics, Marketing, and Psychology. This was a great experience for me because it has taught me how to be patient and how to find ways to communicate effectively. Tutoring ties in with my passion of understanding how to effectively communicate with others and helping them reach their goals- this is extremely important in the business professional and marketing environment. Aside from my career pursuits, I am also a member of an international nonprofit called Toastmasters that improves public speaking and leadership skills.

Hobbies

I have an interest and desire to learn about everything. I am a naturally curious person and enjoy learning and growing. I also enjoy reading books on my spare time (personal development, nonfiction, and fiction). I am a member of a nonprofit called Toastmasters that encourages public speaking and leadership skills. I am very active and enjoy playing basketball, hiking, and being outside. I have traveled to over 10 different countries and have recently traveled to Europe. This experience in addition to my experience in tutoring international students has taught me how to be patient and learn how to effectively communicate with people who do not have perfect english skills. I have high emotional intelligence and know how to connect with other people- this is a skill that I have honed in on as a marketing professional. In marketing, it's extremely important to know and understand how certain groups of people think in order to communicate to them effectively.
