I have a passion for languages and enjoy teaching it because I can help other people. Learning is something we should never stop doing because it is exciting and wonderful. As a tutor, I try to inspire curiosity in my students and make them independent learners.I am certified as an instructor in English as a Second Language (ESL). I earned two Linguistics degrees "” a bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois and a master's degree at the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics in Dallas, Texas. I taught for a year at a South Korean elementary school, a year in Japan at a private school teaching all ages, and a year with adults in Pasadena, Calif. I also tutor Reading, Grammar, Writing, Essay Editing, and English, and can prepare students for the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL. I have experience with many subjects and grade levels.In my leisure time, I like having coffee with friends, movies, TV shows, art, music, and dancing. I also like traveling, learning about other cultures and languages, and reading about society, culture, and history.
