Experience
I attended the well-known University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where I earned a Master of Arts in Education. Before then, I went to UC Irvine, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At UCLA, I took part in their Teacher Education Program, where I got my credentials to teach. After college, I taught Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts to sixth graders at public schools in Los Angeles County. I also taught at Para Los Ninos Charter School.Math is my area of expertise, with science falling close behind. I prefer these subjects and have since I was a child. I have always been a natural mathematician and science-buff. I am a patient educator. My open-minded attitude allows me to formulate productive relationships with students. Learners can trust me to be honest and to lead them in the right direction. I keep communication open, not only with those I teach, but also with their families and teachers. I grew up in a multi-cultural home, and I am well on my way to learning my third language. I am proficient in English and Vietnamese, and in the process of mastering Spanish. So, I am accustomed to dealing with all types of people.When I am not working, I enjoy time with family. I love sports and am really into cars, too.
